Sometimes, early or late at night, A storm rolls by, in full might. A loud crack, out goes the light, There I sit, without sight.
A tear rolls down my cheek, As I think back to this week. All I can do is wait and weep, For you are not mine to keep.
A flash of light, thunderous roar, I jump up, slip on the floor. I thought I heard you at my door. But those are sounds I hear no more.

I am here, forced to choose: Walk one path, or follow another, Either way, I'm sure to lose. The closest I'll get, is like a brother.
But now it isn't only you, And herein lies the dilemma. There may be one or two, And this is a big problema.
All I want is to be your one, Unless I'm hers, then all's undone. But with both, it could be fun, Though I know all I can have is just one.
So the end is near, And the buck stops here. I must choose whom I most desire, And hope to keep that eternal fire...

I notice, now, my sanity wane My mind wanders from plane to plane. Stopping not to smell the flowers, Continuing lost, for hours and hours. And now a thought, an image, a light, Abruptly stopping my dreamy flight. Who or what, I did not know, From that entity did flee my shadow.
My darkness gone, I could now see The one who stood and had saved me From myself, my greatest enemy. From myself, I was finally free.
